All orders can be placed by using this website or by fax.

 

Immediately after the order is received, it will be confirmed by an email. However, this email is only confirmation that the order has been received not that is being processed.

Security

 

We will ensure all personal details passed onto us will remain in the strictest of confidence.

 

Your details may be kept on our database for promotional purposes. We will try our up most to ensure that these details remain with us and cannot be accessed by any third parties.  

 

Guarantee

 

All products are covered by a 6 months back to base guarantee unless stated otherwise.

All stock is graded / refurbished, unless otherwise stated. 

 

The cost of shipping the item back to us will be your responsibility. However, once the item has been replaced / repaired, it will be our responsibility to cover the expenses of shipping it back to you.

 

Any goods received faulty or damaged will be replaced out our cost. The nature of the fault or damage must be reported to us within 48 hours of you receiving the goods.

We will not be held responsible for goods that are reported damaged after 48 hours.

 

All goods that are found to be faulty within 12 months of purchase will be repaired / replaced. No refunds will be given unless the fault cannot be repaired or there is no replacement available.

 

Refunds will only be given once the goods have been returned back to us without damage, complete with the instruction manual and remote control. 

 

Special Warranty for Laptops

 

 

Laptops once bought have no refund/return policy unless they have manufacturing defect. Software’s are not covered under Guarantee, so no claims will be entertained.

 

All graded laptops are sold with a Return to Base warranty, and are subject to the following points:
1. The warranty covers all components within the purchased item except for the batteries, which are covered separately.

2. Laptops are covered for 12 months Warranty from Packard Bell; however the Unit needs to be shipped to Packard Bell by Customer.

3. The warranty is a Return To Base warranty, Customer to pay inbound (you to Packard Bell) carriage charges. 4. For used / refurbished laptops: The warranty does not cover malfunction or failure caused by any of the 6 following points:


3a. Neglect, mis-use or physical damage. This includes damage caused by excessive force ie. dropping the laptop, or by excessive pressure having been applied to the screen or chassis.
3b.Chemicals or liquids having been in contact with the laptop.
3c.The use of the laptop in a damp environment.
3d.Operation of the laptop in excessive heat (> 40 C)
3e.Damage caused by electricity surges, or by the use of incorrect AC voltage.
3f. Damage caused by installation of third party supplied software (not supplied by Packard Bell)

Batteries: Laptop batteries are covered under a DOA (Dead On Arrival) warranty, all laptops come with a 24 hour "Dead on Arrival" warranty unless indicated differently in the description. Customers have 24 hours in which to test their received units.
Any batteries that do not hold any charge need to be notified to us via our returns procedure. We do not guarantee the useable time of the battery in any way. Batteries are consumable items and as such are not warranted for the full duration of 30 days.

 

Any damage that appears to have occurred to the unit during transit to you must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, by email or by phone. (Email: Pabby@tradeelectronix.co.uk, Tel: 0121 773 3300)


Any unauthorized attempt to repair, upgrade or open up the machines service panels will invalidate the warranty.

 

Any tamper labels that have been removed or damaged will invalidate the warranty.
Goods can only be returned once an RMA number has been obtained. This number must be clearly marked on the packaging. RMA number can be obtained by calling Packard Bell.

If a laptop is returned to us for warranty repairs, we will do our best to return the laptop with the hard drive data in exactly the same state. However, in the event of a failed hard drive where a replacement is due, we will return the laptop to you with the original operating system installed, and with the hard drive data with the same configuration as it was when the machine was originally purchased. Neither WE nor Packard Bell be held responsible for the data loss or re-installation of third party supplied programs, or data transfer. 
We advise customers to take regular backups of valuable data as we cannot be held responsible for hardware failure resulting in data loss.  Returned goods must be suitably packaged for transit. Laptops must be contained in bubble-wrap, polystyrene or similar, and be returned in a sealed box, and clearly labelled for delivery to Packard Bell, showing full address and postcode. Failure to do so may invalidate your warranty. We will not issue refunds on returned or unwanted items if damage has been sustained during transit due to unsuitably packaged goods.


We & Packard Bell reserve the right not to carry out repairs, or issue refunds on returned or unwanted items if circumstances fall outside of any of the above terms.

Returned items which are rejected by us, due to breach of any of the above terms will be subject to a re-delivery fee of £13.50 + vat.

 

Ownership of goods is not passed from us to the customer until paid for in full, and funds have cleared into our bank account.

 

The price for the goods is in UK pounds sterling and shall be the price, exclusive of VAT & delivery, set out on the web site at the time your order is placed. A delivery charge will be made and clearly shown in the orders section of the shopping cart before the order is placed. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier's prices, or the imposition of any new taxes or duties. If due to an error or omission the price published for the goods on our web site is wrong we have the right to terminate an order provided the goods have not been dispatched. We will try to ensure that all prices displayed on our web site are accurate, but should an error occur we would inform you of the correct price and give you an opportunity to cancel the order.

 

We shall not be liable to you for any failure or delay in performance of our contract. If it is due to an event beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, war, industrial dispute, fire, flood, tempest and national emergencies and if so delayed we shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of time for performing such obligations.

 

Cancellation and Return

 

All orders must be cancelled prior to the goods being shipped out. (Approx. 3-5 days after ordered is placed). However, once the goods have been shipped there will be a 15% surcharge for us to receive them back. You will be also responsible for the shipping costs, both when the goods are despatched and when they are returned. 

 

Refunds will only be given once the goods have been returned back to us in the same conditions as they were despatched.

 

We reserve the right not to refund any payments, if the goods are not received back in the same condition as they were despatched.   

 

Delivery

 

We can deliver goods to all locations within in the UK. All delivery costs will be charged on top of the cost for the goods.

 

We use a nominated courier service that will deliver the goods to your chosen delivery address.

 

We aim to deliver the goods to you as soon as possible, usually between 3-5 working days. However, we hold no liability for any loss sustained to you due to late delivery.

 

If goods are not received within 7 working days please contact as soon as possible, so that we can ensure you receive the goods without further delay.

 

Price

 

All prices may change without prior notice. All prices displayed include Vat and are subject to delivery. All prices displayed on this site are in British Pound Sterling. 

 

We endeavour to display the most accurate prices for our products however in some instances the prices displayed may be incorrect. Therefore, we will confirm all prices prior to dispatching goods.

 

If you are not happy with the prices you may cancel your order prior to it being dispatched and you will receive a full refund.

Payments

 

We accept all major credit / debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Switch and Solo.

 

Payment by cheque, bank transfer and bankers draft are also acceptable. All cheques must be made payable to ‘Home Electronix’. Please note that when paying by cheque goods will not be shipped until payment has been received in full and cleared by the bank. So please allow up to 3 extra working days for this to be done.

 

Money will be taken from the credit card as soon we confirm the order.

Parts of this website may be printed and copied for the sole purpose of purchasing goods from us. 

 

We reserve the right to refuse to supply goods to any customers if we feel it is necessary.

 

All complaints will be dealt with seriously and we will endeavour to rectify any problems that you may have as swiftly as possible.

 

All terms and conditions stated here are governed by the English and Welsh Law. Any disputes must be settled in the courts of England and Wales only.

Delivery :

Delivery of goods is available. The cost of which, will be invoiced to the customer according to the size of the order, weight of the goods and the distance travelled.

 

Risk of loss of damage to the goods will pass to the customer when they are off loaded from the company transport at the designated place of delivery.

 

Claims for incorrect delivery, including discrepancies between goods delivered and goods ordered, shortages and goods damaged in transmit must be notified to the company in writing within 7 days of the delivery. If the carrier is a company employee, he / she must also be notified. If no notification has been received within the time period the customer will be deemed to have accepted the goods. Any notification received after this 7 day period will not be accepted.

 

For faulty goods, notification must also be put into writing, as soon as the customer is aware of the fault, provided the goods are guaranteed and within the time period.
